“Ship Visit aboard Explorer of the Seas”
Wednesday, 3 June 2026 – A highly successful ship visit aboard Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas took place yesterday, Tuesday, 2 June 2026, at the Port of Piraeus, on the occasion of the ship’s call at the port.
During the visit, participants had the opportunity to tour the ship’s facilities and experience first-hand the exceptional hospitality, entertainment and service offered by Royal Caribbean to its guests.
Explorer of the Seas is a modern cruise ship offering an extensive range of accommodation, entertainment and leisure facilities. The ship features comfortable staterooms, multiple dining options, relaxation areas for guests of all ages, as well as activities closely associated with the Royal Caribbean experience, including sports facilities, live performances and a wide variety of onboard entertainment.
With a length of approximately 311 metres, a gross tonnage of 137,308 GT, 15 decks and capacity for approximately 3,286 guests at double occupancy, supported by a crew of 1,185, Explorer of the Seas is one of the most distinctive ships in Royal Caribbean’s Voyager Class. The ship also features approximately 1,640 staterooms and can reach speeds of approximately 23–24 knots.
Dining plays an important role in the overall experience aboard Explorer of the Seas, with a wide selection of options designed to suit different preferences and occasions throughout the day. Complimentary dining venues include Café Promenade, Island Grill, Windjammer and the Main Dining Room. Guests may also choose from four specialty restaurants: Chops Grille, Izumi, Johnny Rockets and Giovanni’s Table.
Through this extensive culinary variety, guests can enjoy everything from casual meals and international flavours to more distinctive dining experiences, enhancing the overall sense of hospitality and enjoyment that defines a Royal Caribbean cruise.
Explorer of the Seas also offers a wide range of activities for guests of all ages. Younger travellers can enjoy dedicated spaces such as Adventure Ocean, the Arcade and Optix Teen Disco, while all guests have access to facilities including Casino Royale, the Palace Theater, Studio B, the Solarium, swimming pools, whirlpools, a sports court, a jogging track, an outdoor movie screen, and the Vitality Spa & Fitness Center.
Among the ship’s highlights are the FlowRider surf simulator, mini golf course, rock-climbing wall and The Perfect Storm waterslides.
Guests can also enjoy ten bars and lounges throughout the ship, including Crown & Kettle, Dizzy’s, Pool Bar, R Bar, Schooner Bar, Sky Bar, Solarium Bar, Star Lounge, The Tavern and Viking Crown Lounge, each offering a different atmosphere for entertainment and relaxation throughout the day.
