Monemvasia is a small historic town in eastern Peloponnese, in the prefecture of Laconia. It is better known by the medieval fortress on the homonym "Rock of Monemvasia", which is literally a small island connected by a bridge formed in neck with total length of 400 meters with the current coastline flat against the city on the Laconian coast.
