Breisach, Germany

Breisach is a charming town in southwestern Germany, located on the banks of the Rhine River, near the border with France and the Black Forest region. With its medieval charm, narrow streets, and colorful houses, the town offers an authentic glimpse into traditional German life. The impressive St. Stephen’s Cathedral, perched on a hill, offers breathtaking views of the Rhine and the surrounding vineyards. Breisach is a popular stop on Rhine river cruises, combining culture, history, and natural beauty.

Strasbourg, France

The city of Strasbourg is also rich in museums.

Strasbourg is the capital and principal city of the Alsace region in eastern France and is the official seat of the European Parliament. Located close to the border with Germany, it is the capital of the Bas-Rhin département. Strasbourg is the seat of several European institutions, such as the Council of Europe (with its European Court of Human Rights, its European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines and its European Audiovisual Observatory) and the Eurocorps, as well as the European Parliament and the European Ombudsman of the European Union. The city is the seat of the Central Commission for Navigation on the Rhine. Two bridges join Strasbourg with Kehl (city of Germany), France with Germany.

Since 1976 CroisiEurope has pioneered river cruising on the most beautiful waterways in Europe, and we are Europe’s largest and most experienced river cruise line. When you sail with us, you can relax and know that you will be well taken care of. As the European leader in river cruising, we have been privileged to take more than 200,000 passengers to the lands of their dreams, for the times of their lives on rivers, seas and canals in Europe and around the world. Our fleet of 45 company-owned ships and 5 chartered vessels, will take you to your choice of dazzling riverside cities in France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Belgium — to the romantic Rhine Valley, the Rhône and Saône, the Seine, the beautiful blue Danube, the Douro Valley, Venice, and more — where you can explore and enjoy local food, wine, history, art and culture.

We have a dedicated and knowledgeable staff of almost 1,000 people, whose conviviality, attentiveness and professionalism ensures that your voyage will be comfortable and pleasurable. Our staff and crews speak English, and many of them speak other major European languages as well. So you’ll be in the heart of European culture and charm, but you’ll always be able to find someone who understands you. All our vessels are fully inspected on a regular basis, and are consistently renovated and upgraded to keep pace with safety standards as well as the needs of our customers. Their size and cutting-edge technology allow them to sail exclusively on certain rivers and to moor in the heart of cities, as close as possible to places of interest. Our Standard and Premium category ships are modern, their design is stylish and their comfort is optimal.
