Navigator Travel – Presentation of Royal Caribbean International Programs for 2026

A NEW ERA FOR CRUISING FOR ROYAL CARIBBEAN: EUROPE AT THE FOREFRONT

The cruise industry continues to highlight Greece as one of the most attractive and strategic destinations in the Mediterranean, with a particular focus on the Eastern Mediterranean.

Royal Caribbean International, one of the world’s leading cruise groups, once again selects Greece as a homeport, with Brilliance of the Seas returning to the Port of Piraeus for another summer season. In Summer 2026, Brilliance of the Seas will offer four unique roundtrip sailings from Piraeus. These will be 7-night cruises calling at iconic Greek ports such as Mykonos, Santorini and Rhodes, while also visiting ports in Turkey and Cyprus, including Ephesus (Turkey), Bodrum (Turkey), Istanbul (Turkey) and Limassol (Cyprus).
Brilliance of the Seas belongs to the Radiance Class, with a gross tonnage of 90,090, 13 decks, and a length of 293 meters, accommodating 2,142 guests in double-occupancy cabins, offering comfort and refined elegance.

In the Western Mediterranean, Harmony of the Seas will be deployed, following a major refurbishment that will incorporate all the elements that make Royal Caribbean ships stand out for innovation and guest experience. Harmony of the Seas, part of the Oasis Class, has a gross tonnage of 226,963 tons, a length of 362 meters, a beam of 47 meters, and a capacity of up to 6,780 guests. Guests will enjoy signature attractions such as Ultimate Abyss and The Perfect Storm, relax at the newly designed resort-style pool deck, and choose from a wide range of premium dining options. The experience is complemented by visits to some of the most popular Mediterranean destinations. The ship will sail 7-night itineraries from Barcelona or Civitavecchia, calling at ports in France, Italy and Spain.

In the Eastern Mediterranean, Odyssey of the Seas, a Quantum Class ship, will combine advanced technology with experiences for all ages. With a gross tonnage of 167,704 tons, length of 347 meters, beam of 41 meters, and capacity of up to 4,200 guests, the ship features attractions such as North Star (a glass observation capsule offering panoramic views), RipCord by iFLY (skydiving simulation), SeaPlex with indoor activities, and Two70, delivering immersive entertainment with sea views. Odyssey of the Seas will sail primarily 7-night cruises from Rome (Civitavecchia), visiting destinations such as Santorini, Mykonos, Kusadasi/Ephesus, and Naples/Capri, offering a well-balanced itinerary across Greece, Turkey and Italy.

Also operating in the Eastern Mediterranean is Explorer of the Seas, combining classic Royal Caribbean signature onboard experiences with high-demand itineraries in Greece and the Adriatic. Part of the Voyager Class, the ship has a gross tonnage of 137,308 tons, a length of 311 meters, a beam of 39 meters, and capacity for 3,114 guests. Guests can enjoy a rock-climbing wall, ice-skating rink, FlowRider surf simulator, and a variety of entertainment and relaxation options suitable for families, couples and diverse traveler profiles. Explorer of the Seas will sail mainly 7-night cruises from Ravenna (Venice), calling at Athens (Piraeus), Santorini, Mykonos, and Adriatic favorites such as Split and Dubrovnik. Selected itineraries also include Kotor, Montenegro, while longer sailings are available for travelers seeking a more extensive exploration of the region.

In Northern Europe, Liberty of the Seas will operate cruises departing from Southampton, ranging from short getaways to full 7-night itineraries. Part of the Freedom Class, the ship has a gross tonnage of 154,407 tons, a length of 339 meters, a beam of 56 meters, and can accommodate up to 3,634 guests. It will sail to the Norwegian Fjords, calling at iconic ports such as Olden, Skjolden, Haugesund and Stavanger, with sea days designed for guests to fully enjoy the onboard experience. Additionally, 7-night sailings to Spain and Portugal will be offered, with calls at Vigo, Lisbon and Bilbao, as well as variations including La Coruña and overnight or extended stays in Lisbon.

New Cruise Ship – Legend of the Seas

In July 2026, the third ship of the Icon Class, Legend of the Seas, will debut, offering a groundbreaking combination of the best elements of a vacation experience. Designed for families and adventure seekers alike, Legend of the Seas is under construction at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland. With a gross tonnage of 250,800 tons, a length of 365 meters, 20 decks, and capacity for up to 7,514 guests, it will rank among the largest cruise ships in the world, alongside Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas.
For the first time, an Icon Class ship will operate in Europe. Legend of the Seas will begin sailing in June 2026, offering Western Mediterranean itineraries through October 2026, with departures from Rome (Civitavecchia) and Barcelona, primarily on 7-night cruises. Itineraries include popular destinations such as Naples/Capri, Provence (Marseille), Palma de Mallorca, and La Spezia (Florence/Pisa), along with relaxing sea days to fully enjoy the ship’s exceptional facilities.

Royal Caribbean will continue its strong investment in the Eastern Mediterranean in 2027, reinforcing its presence in Greece with Rhapsody of the Seas and weekly departures from Athens (Piraeus). A key highlight of the season is the inclusion of Egypt for the first time, featuring an overnight stay, allowing guests more time to explore the destination beyond a standard day call. Alexandria gains particular significance, offering enhanced cultural and sightseeing opportunities. Additionally, 7-night “Best of Greece & Turkey” itineraries will be offered, with calls at Mykonos, Ephesus (Kusadasi), Istanbul (including a two-day stay) and Santorini, emphasizing a “city & culture” experience centered on major historical landmarks.
