Europe

Is a dream destination for many and a frequent destination for many more. It has everything to offer just about anyone. Each country is unique and has a wonderful mix of history, culture and many local sights to see. No matter the country or countries you travel to, you’ll never run out of things to do. Even getting around is part of the fun.

Tulln, Austria

Tulln is a picturesque town in Austria, located on the banks of the Danube River, near Vienna. Known as the “City of Flowers,” Tulln stands out for its beautiful gardens, peaceful parks, and welcoming atmosphere. The town has a rich history with Roman roots and cultural landmarks such as the Egon Schiele Museum, dedicated to the famous Austrian painter. Tulln is a popular stop on Danube River cruises, offering a perfect blend of nature, art, and relaxation.

Budapest, Hungary

Budapest, the capital of Hungary, is one of the most impressive cities in Europe, built along the banks of the Danube River. The city is divided into two historic parts: Buda, with its hills, castles, and old mansions, and Pest, the flatter and livelier side, home to most of the commercial and cultural life. Budapest is famous for its thermal baths, the magnificent Chain Bridge, the stunning Parliament Building with its neo-Gothic architecture, and its vibrant cultural scene filled with music, art, and historic cafés and bars. Blending Central European elegance with a distinct romantic charm, Budapest is rightly regarded as one of the most beautiful capitals in Europe and a popular destination for travelers from around the world.

Scenic Budapest

The cruise or panoramic route reveals the most iconic landmarks of Budapest: the impressive Parliament building, Castle Hill, the Chain Bridge, as well as the city’s architecture, which blends Austrian and Hungarian influences.

As you travel along the riverbanks, you see Buda and Pest unfolding on either side, with the monuments illuminated at night creating one of the most recognizable landscapes in Europe. The city opens up like a living postcard, offering a serene and majestic viewing experience.

Dürnstein, Austria

Dürnstein is one of the most picturesque and romantic towns in Austria, located on the banks of the Danube River in the heart of the famous Wachau Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town is known for its traditional stone houses, narrow cobblestone streets, and the iconic blue tower of the Augustinian Abbey Church, which dominates the riverside view. Above the town lie the ruins of the castle where, according to legend, King Richard the Lionheart was once held captive. Dürnstein is a beloved stop on Danube River cruises, offering a magical blend of history, tradition, fine wine, and stunning natural beauty.

Gonyu, Hungary

Gonyu is a small and peaceful town in Hungary, located near the banks of the Danube River. With its tranquil atmosphere and natural surroundings, it offers visitors an authentic glimpse of the Hungarian countryside. Gonyu is a calm stop on Danube River cruises, ideal for those who wish to enjoy nature, local hospitality, and the serene beauty of the region.

Grein, Austria

Grein is a municipality in Upper Austria. It is right along the Danube River and the cycle track that runs along it. One attraction in Grein is the Greinburg Castle.

Linz, Austria

Linz is the third-largest city of Austria and capital of the state of Upper Austria. It is located in the north centre of Austria, approximately 30 km south of the Czech border, on both sides of the river Danube. Its highlights are the Cathedral, the art museum, the theatre and the railway bridge, especially at night.

Vienna, Austria

Vienna is the capital of Austria. Its economy is based in manufacturing chemical products, porcelain, furniture and glassware. Very important role also has tourism to the economy. It is rich in art, museums and monuments. Is considered one of the most common destinations during Christmas especially because of its Christmas market.

Vilshofen, Germany

Vilshofen in Germany is a small town on the banks of the Danube, known more as a stop for river cruises than as a destination in its own right. Its historic center is orderly and calm, offering few surprises, while the riverside setting gives it a pleasant but understated charm. Daily life moves at a slow pace with limited cultural intensity, something that will appeal only to those seeking complete quiet. It lacks the depth and vibrancy of Regensburg, yet for a short stop it can offer a clean, modest glimpse of Bavarian provincial life without embellishment.

Wachau Scenic

The Wachau Scenic experience is one of the most beautiful routes along the Danube in Austria, renowned for its impressive landscapes and traditional charm. As the ship sails through the valley, you enjoy lush vineyards, medieval castles perched on the hills, and small villages that look as if they came straight out of a postcard.

The region is well known for its wine production, especially its white wines, while the landscape blends natural beauty with a strong historical character. The Wachau Scenic cruise offers a serene yet striking experience, ideal for those who appreciate nature, history, and classic European scenery.

Weissenkirchen, Austria

Weissenkirchen in Austria sits in the heart of the Wachau Valley and stands out for the vineyards that slope down to the Danube and for the imposing fortified church overlooking the settlement. It’s a place shaped by a strong wine culture and a calm, well-kept aesthetic, free of gaudy tourism yet clearly geared toward visitors who appreciate quality and tradition. The pace is slow, the atmosphere distinctly rural, and the landscape has an effortless elegance rarely matched elsewhere in the region. It doesn’t offer thrills, but for those seeking authentic wine, stone architecture, and quiet, it’s close to ideal.

The Celebrity Seeker, the new jewel of Celebrity Cruises, is set to make its maiden voyage in 2027, bringing a new dimension to the world of luxury river cruising. With a capacity of approximately 172 guests and 86 staterooms, the Seeker redefines what “luxury on the river” means — combining the refined design of ocean cruise ships with the intimate atmosphere of Europe’s most enchanting waterways.

The ship will primarily sail on the Danube and the Rhine, offering itineraries that reach the heart of Central Europe — from Vienna and Budapest to the lush Wachau Valley and the historic castles of Germany.

The Celebrity Seeker stands out for its innovative design: sleek lines, open spaces, and expansive glass surfaces that bring guests closer to the river scenery, with outdoor decks offering 360° views. Its architecture harmoniously blends aesthetics, comfort, and connection to nature, turning every day on board into an experience of its own.

The staterooms are distinguished by their luxury and thoughtful design. From River View cabins with panoramic windows, to Infinite Balcony Suites with electronically opening verandas, and Skylight Suites with glass ceilings that let natural light flood in, every detail has been crafted for ultimate comfort. The Vista Suites, featuring separate living areas and butler service, deliver a boutique-resort experience on the water.

Dining on the Celebrity Seeker is an experience in itself. Guests enjoy multiple culinary venues, from the elegant main restaurant to more innovative concepts such as the “Magic Edge” — dining pods suspended over the river, creating a truly magical atmosphere. Included amenities such as Wi-Fi, selected beverages, and shore excursions ensure an all-inclusive experience free of surprises.

Two “days at sea” (or rather, on the river) in each itinerary are dedicated to pure relaxation: cocktails on the infinity deck, spa moments overlooking the river, and the signature touches of personalized hospitality that define every Celebrity Cruises journey.

The Celebrity Seeker is not just another new river ship — it’s a step forward in European luxury cruising, a seamless blend of elegance, innovation, and authentic connection to the destinations it visits.

Designed for travelers who seek more than a voyage — an experience of a lifetime.

Celebrity Cruises

Since Celebrity's first sailing in 1990, it has been recognized as an industry leader, praised for providing spacious, stylish interiors; dining experiences elevated to an art form; personalized service, with a guest-to-staff ratio of nearly 2:1 and unexpected, trendsetting onboard activities, all designed to provide an unmatchable experience for vacationers' precious time. The introduction of Celebrity Cruises' stylish, widely heralded Solstice Class of ships has reinforced Celebrity's position as an industry leader.

It all began when Celebrity Cruises was founded in 1989 with the objective of fulfilling the travel industry's need for a high-quality, premium cruise product at an intelligent price. The company was determined to set a new, worldwide standard for cruising, and to create a distinctive expression of superior quality, grand style, attentive service, spacious accommodations, and exceptional cuisine. Believing that the dining experience is an essential part of a quality cruise vacation, Celebrity custom-built galleys to create the finest gourmet cuisine at sea, preparing everything from scratch, using only the finest, freshest ingredients. Along with the launch of the Century Class fleet in 1995, Celebrity created another industry first: a luxurious spa experience within the environment of a cruise ship, with the introduction of the AquaSpa® by Elemis. In 1997, Celebrity Cruises merged with Royal Caribbean International, bringing together two extraordinary cruise brands within one corporation, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

In 2000, Celebrity launched the appropriately named Celebrity Millennium, and with it the industry's first application of gas turbine engines, which reduce exhaust emissions by up to 95 percent over traditional propulsion systems. Celebrity Millennium and her sister ships - Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Summit and Celebrity Constellation - nearly doubled the line's capacity in just two years (2000-2002), with each ship offering guests an unmatched dining experience in distinctive, intimate specialty restaurants. Celebrity Millennium's "Olympic," Celebrity Infinity's "S.S. United States," Celebrity Summit's "Normandie" and Celebrity Constellation's "Ocean Liners" each boast original paneling and artifacts from the famed transatlantic luxury liners after which they are named ("Ocean Liners'"includes paneling from the Ile de France), and feature dramatic tableside cooking, carving and flambé in the true French style.

Celebrity has offered rich, pampering experiences since its inception. More than 100 brand enhancements and new "tastes of luxury" were unveiled across the fleet in 2003, including welcome champagne and mimosas, cold towels and fresh sorbet poolside, expanded options in dining, including Sushi Cafés and pasta/pizza bars, sunset yoga and Pilates classes, and more. During the same year, Celebrity introduced "Concierge Class," an enhanced level of accommodations featuring new amenities and priority services, and introduced "Acupuncture at Sea," another undisputed industry first.

In 2004, the line launched "Celebrity Xpeditions," a series of highly unique events and excursions designed to offer savvy travelers once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to be treated famously in new environments. The one-of-a-kind program gives guests the premium experiences they have come to expect from Celebrity, in new and exotic settings, including cruises in the enchanting Galapagos Islands on a luxurious mega yacht, Celebrity Xpedition, and a series of premium excursion options on select itineraries.

Today, among Celebrity’s ten ships are its Solstice Class ships, which exemplify Celebrity's emphasis on designing stunning ships and inviting onboard experiences for vacationers who appreciate the finer things. The ships have taken stylish cruising and impeccable service to new heights. Celebrity Solstice set sail in 2008, Celebrity Equinox in 2009, and Celebrity Eclipse in 2010. All three hold 2,850 guests (double occupancy) and have a tonnage of 122,000. Celebrity Silhouette joined the fleet in 2011 and Celebrity Reflection in 2012. Celebrity Silhouette holds 2,886 guests (double occupancy) and has a tonnage of 122,400. Celebrity Reflection holds 3,030 guests and has a tonnage of 126,000.

Celebrity's Solstice Class features the industry's first "Lawn Club" - an outdoor, country club-like venue featuring a lawn of real, growing grass where guests can practice their putting, play lawn games like croquet and lawn bowling, or simply relax under the sun and stars; the first Hot Glass Show at sea, presented in collaboration with The Corning Museum of Glass; and a slate of breathtaking new shows created in partnership with POET Theatricals. The Solstice Class also offers larger, more intuitive staterooms influenced by "Celebrity's Leading Ladies," five Boomer women with unique travel and hospitality insights. The new ships present fewer inside staterooms than other ships - 90% of the ships' staterooms offer outside views and 85% of staterooms have verandas - and feature an entirely new category of staterooms, "AquaClass," designed with spa enthusiasts in mind, offering a host of exclusive amenities. AquaClass guests enjoy unlimited access to the Relaxation Room and Persian Garden, as well as priority seating in Blu, a specialty restaurant with healthy dishes created specifically for AquaClass guests. The ships also present a two-story AquaSpa, with the Relaxation Room and Persian Garden similar to those found on several other Celebrity ships. Celebrity's Solstice Class ships also are the first in the industry to utilize solar technology, with some of the solar panels serving the dual purpose of providing shade within the Solarium as well as energy production. Celebrity Silhouette introduced several new venues, including The Lawn Club Grill, the industry's first outdoor, interactive grill venue; The Porch, with a chic Hampton's-style design, and offering casual breakfasts and lunches overlooking The Lawn Club and the sea; The Art Studio, where guests can participate in intimate, hands-on instruction from experts in drawing, painting and beading, as well as the art of food, with culinary-themed classes; The Alcoves, eight cabana-style settings for partial or all-day rentals on the perimeter of The Lawn Club, offering themed picnic baskets, an á la carte beverage menu and WiFi; and The Hideaway, with its avant-garde, cozy, tree house design, creating a quiet retreat for reading a good book or a high-tech escape for vacationers relaxing with iPads, which are available to rent.

Dining on Celebrity's ships is an exceptional experience. The vision of our James Beard featured chef for creating fresh, exciting, innovative dining experiences has produced such successes as Qsine, the "uniquely unordinary" specialty restaurant first introduced on Celebrity Eclipse, and the Lawn Club Grill, the first outdoor, interactive barbecue grill experience at sea introduced on Celebrity Silhouette. Our culinary vision is evident everywhere, from the recipes and ingredients to the table presentation to the service. Our hope is that you'll leave a Celebrity cruise having tried new tastes and gained a deeper appreciation for the way cuisine can influence your experiences. Before the launch of Celebrity Solstice in 2008, Celebrity Cruises had five specialty restaurants fleetwide; by the end of 2012, there be 45 in total.

Just as we elevated Celebrity's culinary excellence, Celebrity's Solstice® Class has redefined the brand overall. Many of the design elements, experiences and dining concepts introduced on the Solstice Class ships are so compelling that in early 2010, Celebrity announced plans to "Solsticize" its Millennium Class ships by incorporating iconic Solstice Class attributes through a significant revitalization. The first ship to be "Solsticized" was Celebrity Constellation®, that same year. Since then, four other ships have been enhanced to a Solstice Class sheen.

With its pulse on what guests want, and with an eye toward the future, Celebrity Cruises continues to innovate and to deliver unforgettable, award-winning vacation experiences.
