From New York City (United States) to Boston, to Portland, then to Halifax, (Canada). Sailing the Whale Corridors and the Gulf of St. Lawrence we finally arrive to Quebec City (Canada).
Casting off from the city that never sleeps, we follow the Gulf Stream and meander up the coast of New England - its forest-lined clifftops aflame with autumn colour - to Boston, seeking Harvard’s hallowed hallways, clam chowders and wharves that whisper of tea parties and puritans. Maine brings hip-and-happy Portland and a craggy coastline scattered with secluded sandy bays, candy-striped lighthouses, world-familiar lobster shacks and laid-back harbour towns. The Labrador Current draws us onwards to Nova Scotia, where we delve into Canadian heritage in Halifax before climbing the iconic star-shaped citadel and walking within its historic walls. The dramatic shoreline and red-sand Bea of New Brunswick merge into the Gulf of St. Lawrence, its tiny islands and unique marine ecosystem home to seals, porpoises and pods of curious whales. Rounding the wildly picturesque Gaspé Peninsula, we pull into fairy tale-esque Quebec City, its UNESCO-protected old quarter elevated by thriving contemporary culture and cuisine.
