São Filipe is a town on the west coast of the island of Fogo, Cape Verde. São Filipe was founded in the 16th century and is considered to be the second
oldest town in Cape Verde but a town charter was not granted before 1922. In 1655 São Filipe was destroyed by Flemish pirates.
Porto-Novo is a scenic port in the Gulf of Guinea. It is a famous tourist destination as it has a lot to show of its Portugese influence. Culture attractions coexist perfectly with the natural beauty. Museums and palaces should be visited. San Sebastián is the main port, the capital and also an administrative district on La Gomera in the Canary Islands. Its main claim to fame is that Christopher Columbus stayed here on his way to the New World, and you’ll learn more about the famed explorer here than you ever did, as his every footstep (real or imagined) in the town has been well documented for visitors.

Dakhla is a city in Western Sahara under Moroccan control and it is built on a narrow peninsula of the Atlantic Coast. There are windsurfing opportunities north of Dakhla. A kite shop is helpful with all the necessary info. You can wind- and kitesurf on both the western (ocean) and eastern (lagoon) side of the peninsula.
