Geiranger, Norway

Geiranger is a holiday destination for the majority of Norwegians. The scenery will take your breath away, but the most fascinating landmark is the Seven Sisters waterfall. The city is surrounded by towering snow-capped mountains, lush vegetation and numerous hiking trails, which often enjoy the adventurous visitors.

Bergen, Norway

The warm atmosphere of this classic Norwegian town welcomes you as you walk in the old city. You will see the medieval tower Chaaken Hall and Brygken Wharf where you may do shopping to the numerous art workshops in bargain prices. Then climb by cable car to the summit of Mount Floien, 305 meters above sea level and walk in rubble paths enjoying the magnificent view of the harbor, the fjords and mountains.

Eskifjordur, Iceland

Eskifjordur is a town and port in eastern Iceland with a large fishing industry. A sculpture by Ragnar Kjartansson is located along the main road in Eskifjordur, commemorating the mariners who drowned at sea. Also, the mountain Hólmatindur is considered by the locals to be one of the most naturally beautiful in the area.

Torshavn, Faroe Islands

Faeroes that  means Sheep Islands is a cluster of 18 islands (17 habitable), which are the  homonymous archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean between Scotland, Norway and Iceland. Tórshavn is a small city of approximately 20,000 residents that becomes "alive" every year during the summer when visitors from every corner of Europe and beyond come to visit. Descendants of the Vikings firstly inhabited the islands around the 9th century, the inhabitants of the islands as well as the Icelanders are their descendants. Visit The Tinganes, the oldest part of town with small wooden houses and roofs covered with grass. The oldest of these is about 500 year old . Its worth visiting the Tórshavn Cathedral, Tórshavn harbor, the Listasavn Føroya Museum of Art  and the Nordic House  the most important cultural center of the Faroes.

 

Flaam (Sognefjord), Norway

Flam is a villafe situated in the innermost part of the Aurlandsfjord. It is surrounded by steep mountain sides, waterfalls and deep valleys. Flam is a popular tourist destination and has been so since the late 19th century. Most come to enjoy the scenic 20-kilometre railway between Flåm and Myrdal.

Heimaey, Iceland

Heimaey is an Icelandic island, the largest island in the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago, and the largest and most populated island off the Icelandic coast. Keiko the whale from the Free Willy films was in real life flown to Klettsvik Bay on Heimaey as his final home before being freed.

Hellesylt, Norway

Hellesylt is a small village in Stranda Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. In the summertime, thousands of tourists travel through or stay in Hellesylt each day. The village is surrounded by mountains and valleys. The standard of living is said to be one of the best in Norway. The Sunnylven Church is located in Hellesylt, which was the administrative center of the former municipality of Sunnylven.

Leknes (Lofoten), Norway

Leknes is a town in Nordland county, Norway. It is a town in Lofoten archipelago that differs from all the other fishing towns in this area. However, the surrounded landscape is nothing but a scenic paradise with cliffs, white sandy beaches, mountains and peaks. It is very possible to catch a sight of cormorants,eagles and of course whales. Lofoten offers, also, a wide range of activities such as surfing, kayaking and snorkelling in crystal clear arctic waters. You will be astonished by the natural beauty this place offers!

Lerwick/Shetland, UK

Lerwick is a bustling, cosmopolitan seaport with services and amenities only usually found in much larger places on the British mainland. The extensive leisure and entertainment facilities provide warm hospitality to visitors. The old waterfront is thronged with pleasure boats, visiting yachts, historic craft and working fishing boats. Narvik

Narvik is a town in Norway with a population of approximately 15,300 residents. From Narvik is extracted iron ore. The city has access to numerous outdoor activities. This is the best known location in northern Norway for alpine skiing. Fishing in the fjord or in lakes and streams is a popular leisure activity.

Reykjavik, Iceland

Reykjavik is a perfect town, with plenty of room, clean air, vibrant culture and beautiful environment. The southernmost capital of the world has it all. To enrich your knowledge of the Norwegian and Icelandic culture, visit the National Museum and the wooden buildings of the old city of Reykjavik. Afterwards leave the city behind and drive across landscapes of fire, ice and geysers to indulge in spas, that steam gushes.Don't miss such an ethereal experience.

Tromso, Norway

Tromsο is the largest city and the largest urban area in Northern Norway, where occurs the phaenomenon of the Midnight Sun from about 18 May to 26 July. The city centre of Tromso contains the highest number of old wooden houses in Northern Norway. The Arctic Cathedral, a modern church from 1965, is probably the most famous landmark in Tromsο. The city is a cultural centre for its region and several festivals take place during the summer.
