Amalfi

Amalfi is in the province of Salerno, in Campania, 35 km southeast of Naples. Located in a deep gorge, surrounded by impressive cliffs near the coast. It is a popular tourist destination in the region and is included in the World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. The Amalfi has monuments of medieval architecture, such as the Cathedral of St.Andreas.

Ancona, Italy

Ancona is a city and a seaport in the Marche region in central Italy. The city is located 280 km northeast of Rome, on the Adriatic Sea, between the slopes of the two extremities of the promontory of Monte Conero, Monte Astagno and Monte Guasco. Ancona is one of the main ports on the Adriatic Sea, especially for passenger traffic, and is the main economic and demographic centre of the region. Museums like Museo Archeologico Nazionale delle Marche & Museo Tattile Statile Omero and baroque churches - Chiesa di San Domenico & Chiesa di San Francesco delle Scale - are only some of the landmarks of Ancona. 

Chioggia, Italy

Chioggia is widely considered to be the miniature version of Venice, as it is also built around canals and boats. Be sure to indulge in the seafood restaurants available at this port! The oldest documentation cites Chioggia as part of the Byzantium Empire in the 6th Century A.D.

 

Kotor (Montenegro)

In the southeastern edge of Kotor Bay, is located the namesake city, with its medieval color intact, a World Heritage site, under the protection of UNESCO. The walls of the city, stretching for 4.5 kilometers, were gradually growing over the centuries and nowadays create points with stunning view. The natural beauty is inherent in the rich history and tradition, and a host of cultural events organized every year in the region, attract many tourists to the medieval natural harbor of Adriatic. The traces of Illyrians, of the Roman culture,of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque era, are particularly strong and are reflected in the many attractions and monuments of different historical periods.

Ravenna, Italy

Ravenna is located in the Emilia-Romagna area. Near to the Adriatic coast, is connected to the sea through a water channel. In the past had been the seat of the Roman Empire. Ravenna is famous for its mosaics of churches and its monuments, recognized as world cultural heritage by UNESCO. Nowadays Ravenna is a very pleasant town, with old streets, beautiful shops, a historic center for pedestrians only, a place which can offer many thrills to every visitor.

Sicily (Messina)

The largest island of Mediterranean, Sicily, consists of a multicultural society and offers many different folklore, historical, artistic attractions and breathtaking landscapes.
Messina is located to the northeast part of Sicily and was founded by Greek colonists in the 8th century BC. It had been an important port since ancient times and its long history is visible in monuments, churches and all around. Don't miss to visit Taormina and Mt.Etna.
 

Civitavecchia/Rome, Italy

Civitavecchia is a town and comune of the province of Rome. A sea port which is located 80 kilometres west-north-west of Rome. The harbor is formed by two piers and a breakwater, on which is a lighthouse.

Sorrento

Siracusa, Sicily

Siracusa is a pictureque city in Sicily, in Italy. Like many places in the country, it is an ancient town with a rich heritage. It was built by the ancient greeks and it is so scenic that Cicero once said:"the greatest Greek city and the most beautiful of them all." Beautiful historic remains, basilicas, catacombs and burial caves give the chance to the visitors to have an interesting travel to the distant past. It is an amazing city that combines the history with the modern. Do not forget to taste the delicious italian cuisine and the wonderful wines.

Venice, Italy

Venice is a magnificent city and the best way to see it is through canals with a romantic gondola ride, starting from the Grand Canal. Then visit the Doge's Palace, cross the Bridge of Sighs and enjoy a coffee in San Marco Square with its imposing buildings and the Cathedral, aged 900 years ago. Do not forget to visit an exhibition of glassware where you can see artisans at work and buy authentic Venetian glass items.
