Cerro Brujo, San Cristobal, Galapagos

Cerro Brujo is located on the north coast of San Cristobal Island.Its main attraction is the powder like sandy beach other than species if flora and fauna.In the lagoon located at Cerro Brujo the people of Port Barquerizo Moreno mine salt for preserving cod beed and tortoise.Today it is a place for watching lake and coastal birds.Cerro Brujo offers an excellent landscape where you can see kicker Rock geological formation the southern part of Upper San Cristobal and the coast adjacent to Cerro Brujo.

Los Gemelos, Santa Cruz, Galapagos

Los Gemelos, Spanish for The Twins, are two depressions of volcanic material, formed by a long process of slow sinking of the ground and they are located on the highest part of Santa Cruz. The Twins are located in the highlands of Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos Archipelago. Some species of beautiful Galapagos finches can be seen here.

Charles Darwin Station & Ayora, Santa Cruz

The Charles Darwin Research Station is a biological research station operated by the Charles Darwin Foundation. It is located in Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos Islands. Ecuadorian and foreign scientists work constantly on research and projects for conservation of the Galapagos terrestrial and marine ecosystems.

El Barranco, Genovesa, Galapagos

El Barranco lies on Genovesa Island, Galapagos. El Barranco’s steep, rocky path leads up to a high cliff-face. A marvelous view can be appreciated from here. This site is also home to palo santo vegetation as well as red-footed boobies, short-eared lava owls, Galapagos swallows, and Galapagos doves.

Bahia Darwin, Genovesa, Galapagos

Genovesa Island is located at the inner part of Darwin Bay, it is a small and relatively flat island, rim of a sunken crater that forms Bahia Darwin. The island is geologically young and the only island north of the equator that tourist are permitted to visit and is well worth the effort. It is also rich in wildlife as the other islands of the Galapagos.

Seymour Norte, Galapagos

North Seymour is a small island near to Baltra Island in the Galapagos Islands. It was was created by seismic uplift. The whole island is covered with low, bushy vegetation. North Seymour has a visitor trail approximately 2 kilometres in length crossing the inland of the island and exploring the rocky coast.  

Bahia Gardner, Espanola

Bahia Gardner is located on the northeastern part of Espanola Island, the oldest of the Galapagos Islands. Here there is a long, white sandy beach, colonies of sea lions, sea turtles swim offshore and inquisitive mockingbirds. The beach is great to explore and view land iguanas. Snorkeling at Gardner Bay is a great attraction, with the chance to swim with the Sea Lions, the large colorful tropical fish and white-tipped sharks.

Roca Leon Dormido

Roca Leon Dormido is located in Galapagos Islands in Ecuador, and it is a well-known point of the Islands, as two tall hills (rocks-towers) are made from lava rock. As one looks at the hills from the south, they look like sleeping lions. This phenomenon in Spanish is called "Leon Dormido" or otherwise Sleeping Lion.

Punta Mangle, Fernandina

Punta Mangle is a rocky point located on the northern coast of Fernandina Island, which is one of the Galapagos Islands in the Pacific Ocean. It is known for its unique and diverse wildlife, including marine iguanas, sea lions, and a variety of seabirds such as cormorants, blue-footed boobies, and Galapagos penguins.

Visitors can enjoy hiking along the lava fields and observing the unique flora and fauna in the area. Snorkeling is also a popular activity as there is a diverse underwater world to explore, including various species of fish and sea turtles.

Punta Moreno, Isabela Island

Punta Moreno is known for its diversity of species and is a great place for nature lovers to explore and experience the unique ecosystem of the Galapagos Islands!

 

Punta Moreno is located on the western coast of Isabela Island, which is part of the Galapagos Islands archipelago in Ecuador. The site is known for its impressive lava formations and the variety of wildlife that can be observed there.

The area is home to several brackish lagoons where visitors can spot various bird species, such as flamingos, herons, and gallinules.

In addition to the birdlife, visitors can observe marine iguanas, sea lions, and sometimes even sharks in the waters off the coast.

San Cristobal, Isla Lobos

Lobos Island is a Galapagos visitor site not far from San Cristobal Island, and it is found about six miles (ten kilometers) north of this. It is a relatively flat island, with a lot of white sand, and it is a popular place to visit, even though it is not the most jaw-dropping spot on tour itineraries. The island is named after the sea lions that have made a home here, and it is unlikely that you will not see one of these creatures on your visit to Lobos Island. The island is tiny, and might be better thought of as an islet. 

Punta Suarez, Espagnola

Espanola Island is a popular tourist destination in Galapagos islands. Punta Suarez is a picturesque spot in this area famous for its wildlife. Sea lions, large iguanas and numerous species of birds are possible to be seen here. It is, also, the only place in the world that albatross nest. It has scenic white sandy beaches so it is a nice opportunity for diving and snorkelling activities. The rocky volcanic surroundings make the scenery unique and perfect for photographs!

San Cristobal, Ecuador

San Cristobal is the easternmost island in the Galápagos archipelago, and one of the oldest geologically. Its name comes from the patron saint of seafarers, St. Christopher. "Kicker Rock" is a worth-visiting area that represents the remains of a lava cone. It is a magnificent island in the middle of the sea. For those who adore sea activities,the island offers an amazing snorkelling and diving experience. The sea life you see there is unbelievable! You will have the chance to experience swimming with sharks, turtles, dolphins and rays.

Sullivan Bay (Santiago), Galapagos

Sullivan bay located on Santiago island in Galapagos, offers a unique volcanic experience. A coral beach landing leads you at a lava field which proves the volcanic origin of these islands. A special type of lava, pahoehoe, make the scenery just perfect. Enjoy swimming in beautiful, pristine beaches. Snorkelling here is, also, an interesting activity. Explore the  landscapes by walking across the lava which is an amazing experience!
