Middle East

The Middle East is not a continent, but rather a region spanning across south-western Asia, southeastern Europe and north-eastern Africa and has a lot to offer to travellers – historically and culturally. The Pyramids of Giza, Palmyra in Syria, Petra in Jordan and Persepolis in Iran are reminders of the region's glorious past. In fact, large parts are dry deserts but still many people manage to live here, mainly along major rivers like the Nile and Tigris.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

The capital of United Arab Emirates and the largest city in range and population is Abu Dhabi. It is known for its parks and beautiful beaches, especially for the traditional markets. Noteworthy is the hospitality of the local people, who show to visitors their traditions and lifestyle willingly.

Bahrain, Bahrain

Bahrain officially the Kingdom of Bahrain is an Arab constitutional monarchy in the Persian Gulf. It is an island country consisting of a small archipelago centered around Bahrain Island, situated between the Qatar peninsula and the north eastern coast of Saudi Arabia.

DOHA, Quatar

Doha is the capital city of the state of Qatar. It is located on the eastern coast of the peninsula of Qatar and the Persian Gulf. The name "Doha" came from the Arabic ad-dawha, "the big tree." The reference might be to a prominent tree that stood at the site where the original fishing village arose. Doha is one of the world's fastest-developing countries.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Sandy beaches, sun, shopping and enjoynment, there are all in Dubai. Spend a morning at a busy traditional bazaar, such as "Gold Bazaar", one of the largest retail gold markets in the world. After that visit a modern department store with a variety of duty free items before escaping into a nearby beach in the afternoon.
Don't forget to have a look to the unique hotel Jumeirah Burj Al Arabica - shaped like a yacht, 321 meters high, one of the most impressive attractions of modern Middle East.

Sir Bani Yas, UAE

Sir Bani Yas is a natural island located southwest of Abu Dhabi, the capital of theUnited Arab Emirates. Located just off the shore of the Western region of Abu Dhabi, Sir Bani Yas island was originally home to Arabia's largest wildlife reserve. Thanks to decades of conservation work and ecological investment, it is now home to thousands of large free-roaming animals and several million trees and plants. A bird sanctuary as well as a wildlife reserve, Sir Bani Yas showcases nature through activities such as adventure safaris, kayaking, mountain biking, archery, hiking and snorkeling.

Royal Caribbean International

Message from Adam M. Goldstein,  President and CEO

Welcome to Royal Caribbean International – a place where innovation and imagination reign supreme. From its very beginning, our company has been guided by the principles of designing ships and creating itineraries that lead to a cruising experience like no other – principles grounded on delivering the WOW to each and every one of our guests before, during and after sailing with us.

We take great pride in being able to introduce first-at-sea innovations such as the rock climbing wall, zipline and FlowRider® surf simulator to mention a few, as well as offering unparalleled entertainment experiences and to be the only cruise line to offer Tony Award®-winning Broadway shows. All of these onboard amenities offer us the opportunity to see how we can WOW our guests every time they cruise with us.

With more than 280 destinations worldwide and an amazing array of exciting shore excursions and cruisetour options, we provide our guests the chance to experience something new. Something only a Royal Caribbean cruise can offer – like glacier-trekking in Alaska; cave-tubing in Belize; biking through the vineyards of Dubrovnik, Croatia; experiencing the wonders of China; or simply doing nothing at all. That's just the beginning of the kind of exciting adventures and relaxing escapes our global cruises bring to vacationers around the world.

Our ships are also built to WOW. Our latest innovations on Quantum of the Seas, set to sail in November 2014, will feature such first-at-sea experiences like bumper cars, roller skating, simulated skydiving and The North Star, a jewel-like capsule that gently soars 300 feet above sea level. Plus, our Oasis class ships continue to WOW our guests with their unprecedented entertainment, dining and exclusive onboard amenities. We also continue to enhance the rest of our fleet and have already revitalized more than half of our 21 ships and will finalize the revitalizations with our Voyager class in 2014 and 2015.

All of this of course could not be accomplished without our most amazing asset – our crew. The men and women onboard our ships work tirelessly each and every day to ensure that all of our guests have the vacation of a lifetime.

We are committed to continue creating amazing new experiences for our guests in the years ahead. It’s our way of ensuring that we offer our guests the most innovative cruise ships, exciting and compelling itineraries around the world, and our renowned GOLD Anchor Service – what we call the Royal Advantage. We look forward to seeing you onboard and delivering the WOW to you and your family and friends.
