Alexandria, Egypt

Known as the "Pearl of the Mediterranean", the ancient city of Alexandria is steeped in history and sophisticated charm. The port of Alexandria was founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC and became the capital of Greco-Roman Egypt and one of the most important cultural centers of the ancient world. Immerse yourself in the grandiose atmosphere of the city and explore the many wondrous attractions which date from the time of the Pharaohs. Take some time to explore the Roman Amphitheatre and the Pillar of Pompeii.

Athens (Piraeus), Greece

Visit the capital of Modern and Ancient Greece and explore , the "Old City" of Athens, Plaka, with its neoclassical buildings and shops for gifts and souvenirs.
Climb the Acropolis hill, where the Parthenon Temple dominates, and enjoy the wonderful view. Also, take a trip along the beautiful Saronic Gulf - Cape Sounion and ancient Corinth, where you can sunbathe and admire thousand years of history.

AlWajh, Saudi Arabia

One of the bigger coastal cities alongside the Red Sea, the beauty of visiting Al Wajh lies in its tranquillity and historical roots. Being one of the oldest coastal cities in Saudi Arabia means checking out its splendid architecture, including old hilltop houses overlooking the port, along with exploring the abandoned town and its old fishing boats. Throw that in along with its now modern city to explore and beachside parks to stroll in at your leisure, Al Wajh has plenty going for it.

Chania - Souda (Crete)

The town of Chania is built on the ruins of ancient Cydonia. This historic city had been conquered by many invaders, who left traces of their culture, depicted on building faces, castles, walls, antiquities, monasteries and churches. Dominant position in the city center holds the Municipal market, a brilliant cross-shaped building which was completed in 1913, the analogue of Marseille.
The Venetian port is attractive to visitors and locals, both for its beauty and the entertainment it provides. The neighborhoods of the old city preserve their Venetian nobility. Narrow paved alleys are surrounded with tasteful renewed houses, from various eras, offering a pleasant stroll.

Dhiba Port, Saudi Arabia

Dhiba Sea Port is located in far northwestern Saudi Arabia about 110 kilometers southeast of the mouth of the Gulf of Arabia. Located at the North end of the Red Sea coast, Dhiba Sea Port offers a natural protected harbor and serves an immense hinterland that extends to the Mediterranean Sea. Dhiba Sea Port has a supermarket, a bank, and a hotel within the port area. A supermarket, lodgings, and a fuel station are located outside the port area.

Gythion

Gythio is an historic city, on the southern Peloponnese near the mouth of Eurotas river, west of the Laconian Gulf and the most important port of the area.

Gythio is a town in municipality of East Mani, in Peloponnese and was the seaport of Sparta. Gythio had been an important port until it was destroyed in the 4th century AD, probably by an earthquake. Today it is the largest and most important town in Mani. The ancient Romans built a theater which is well preserved today and is still used occasionally. The ancient theater and the Acropolis of the ancient town, were discovered in 1891. The modern city of Gythion extends on the eastern slopes of the ancient mount "Larysios"

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Jeddah is Saudi Arabia’s buzzing cosmopolitan hub, home to gleaming hotels and big-ticket events like the Red Sea International Film Festival, which takes place in late winter. The city’s heart is still intact in Al Balad, the magical historical quarter that has undergone a renaissance in recent years. And the Red Sea is still central to it all — for trade, for diving among pristine reefs, and for fishing for Jeddah’s legendary seafood. The city where Eve was laid to rest (according to local lore) is a beguiling mix of old and new, and one that remains gloriously different.

Suez Canal (Passage)

The Suez Canal in Egypt, is an artificial water channel, the largest canal in the world, with total length of 168 km. It runs along the isthmus of Suez, from north to south, connecting Mediterranean Sea and Red Sea. Through Suez Canal transportation between Europe and Asia is allowed without navigating around Africa.

Silversea Cruises

Let us take you on a personal journey of discovery. Amid the tranquillity of the sea and the exuberance of distant lands, we will arouse your curiosity and seduce your senses. We will stimulate your imagination and spark new insights. Our aim is to create experiences that will enrich your life for years to come. From the moment you step onboard to the time you say "Arrivederci", our Italian sense of style will shine. The ebullience of our hospitality, the genuine warmth of our service and our evident appreciation of the finer things in life are genial qualities of our founders and owners. They are the principles on which Silversea were founded.

Small is beautiful and bountiful. With fewer guests and a high staff to guest ratio, we can tailor our unobtrusive service to individual needs. And you can join a select on board community of travellers with similar aspirations. The intimate ambience on our shιps has parallels with the atmosphere of a refined club. We are happy to sail against the tide. While most cruise lines build larger and ever-larger ships, we prefer to stay small. In this way we can preserve the special Silversea experience our guests have come to expect ... the intimate ambience, personal service and access to more intriguing secluded ports.

SMALLER GETS YOU CLOSER

Our small ships are agile enough to visit more remote, lesser-known ports and to bring you closer to some of the world's greatest destinations. They can sail up narrow waterways into the heart of a city, they can navigate around tiny islands and they can tie up right at the dock while others must anchor offshore. In the world of upscale cruising, less is more... considerably more, as our seven small ships offer infinite opportunities across all seven continents.
