Ali Island, Papua New Guinea

Ali Island is located in the West Sepik province of Papua New Guinea. The islanders give a warm welcome and entertain guests with a magnificent sing ceremony, and they are genuinely interested in taking in visitors to share in village life and all that the island has to offer. The island offers diving, fishing, surfing and relaxation in a peaceful environment.

Auri Islands, Cenderawasih Bay

The Auri islands are located on the Cenderawasih Bay on the northern coast of West Papua, New Guinea, Indonesia. There are hundreds of small islands that host some of the most virgin hard coral reefs in Indonesia, with one of the highest concentrations of fish in the Pacific Ocean. The western part of the bay was designated as a marine national park in 2002. Extensive surveys documented 995 species of fish and over 500 species of coral, about 10 times larger than in the Caribbean. The bay is also known for the accumulation of the largest fish in the world such as the whale shark.

Cairns (Yorkey's Knob), Australia

Yorkeys Knob is a seaside suburb of Cairns, a piece of paradise, where you can live the holiday of your life. It's a great, safe beache for swimming and many other water activities. Dive on the Great Barrier Reef, or visit the World Heritage Rain Forests and Cairns City.

Dei Dei Hot Springs, Fergusson Island

In Dei-Dei hot springs visitors can relax and explore prehistoric steam vents, geysers, and salt deposits. Locals in Fergusson Island still cook in the tradition of their ancestors by preparing all meals in the boiling pools.

Dobo Island, Indonesia

The Aru Islands are a group of about ninety-five low-lying islands in the Maluku province of eastern Indonesia. The islands are the easternmost in Maluku province, and are located in the Arafura Sea southwest of New Guinea and north of Australia. Dobo Island is the chief port of the islands and lies on Wamar, just off Tanahbesar.

Darwin

Darwin is the capital city of the Northern Territory, Australia. Situated on the Timor Sea, Darwin has a population of 127,532, making it by far the largest and most populated city in the sparsely populated Northern Territory. It is the smallest and most northerly of the Australian capital cities, and acts as the Top End's regional centre. Darwin has grown from a pioneer outpost and small port into one of Australia's most modern and multicultural cities.

Den Weg Islands, Teluk Berau

The Den Weg Islands are located on the west coast of Java in Indonesia. They are known for the ancient spectacular art, which their inhabitants apply, painting on rocks. The natives use natural red-like materials that look like human blood, so they call it "blood paintings". Because many of them depict human skeletons, they consider it very sacred because they refer to the ancient custom of burial of the dead. Visitors to these islands can admire these outdoor artworks only by boat. Finally, the Den Weg islands are a refuge for birds and wildlife.

Kopar Village, Sepik River

Kopar is a small village at the mouth of the Sepik River, on the island of New Guinea. It is a small village of not more than 200 people. Same as the Murik Lakes people, the people of Sepik, are known for their artifacts. Kopar presents another opportunity for those souvenir hunters. For the keen birders, a trip into the small canals just upstream from Kopar village can be rewarded with sights of plain birds and parrots.

Samarai & Kwato Islands, Papua New Guinea

Neighboring islands located in the province of Milne Bay in Papua New Guinea. Historically important islands, especially Samarai, which was the stopover, as a commercial port on travel from Australia to East Asia. Despite the efforts made after World War II to regain its old glory, as an important commercial port, administrative center and bustling cosmopolitan island, they were unable to do so. Today it is inhabited by a few residents and has been declared by the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea as an island of National Historical Heritage.

Tuam Island, Papua New Guinea

Tuam island is located in the Siassi group of Islands, situated in Morobe province, Papua New Guinea. Morobe province is known as the gateway to the highlands, boasting majestic mountains and lush rainforests. The locals are very hospitable and welcome visitors with music and dance. Here you can do snorkelling and diving.

Triton Bay, Indonesia

Triton Bay is a port town in West Papua, Indonesia. The natural beauty of this place is superb, full of coral reefs, palm trees and sandy beaches.

Vanimo, Papua New Guinea

Vanimo, is the capital of Sandaun Province, sits on a neat little peninsula with beautiful beaches on either side. This area of the world has seen little development in international tourism, other than visitors enroute from Irian Jaya to other parts of Papua New Guinea, or the intrepid traveller or surfer in search of the perfect wave. The headwaters of the Sepik River are in Sandaun Province. Here the river narrows into dense, mountainous country and only small boats can navigate upstream from the village of Ambunti. There are no roads in the Upper Sepik and much of the province is covered in rainforest.

Silversea Cruises

Let us take you on a personal journey of discovery. Amid the tranquillity of the sea and the exuberance of distant lands, we will arouse your curiosity and seduce your senses. We will stimulate your imagination and spark new insights. Our aim is to create experiences that will enrich your life for years to come. From the moment you step onboard to the time you say "Arrivederci", our Italian sense of style will shine. The ebullience of our hospitality, the genuine warmth of our service and our evident appreciation of the finer things in life are genial qualities of our founders and owners. They are the principles on which Silversea were founded.

Small is beautiful and bountiful. With fewer guests and a high staff to guest ratio, we can tailor our unobtrusive service to individual needs. And you can join a select on board community of travellers with similar aspirations. The intimate ambience on our shιps has parallels with the atmosphere of a refined club. We are happy to sail against the tide. While most cruise lines build larger and ever-larger ships, we prefer to stay small. In this way we can preserve the special Silversea experience our guests have come to expect ... the intimate ambience, personal service and access to more intriguing secluded ports.

SMALLER GETS YOU CLOSER

Our small ships are agile enough to visit more remote, lesser-known ports and to bring you closer to some of the world's greatest destinations. They can sail up narrow waterways into the heart of a city, they can navigate around tiny islands and they can tie up right at the dock while others must anchor offshore. In the world of upscale cruising, less is more... considerably more, as our seven small ships offer infinite opportunities across all seven continents.
